montessoriathome24

A common question I receive is it is worth it? what's a must buy? what can I skip?

Here is a list of items you shouldn't DIY and best places to order from.

My TOP 3 retailers I shop from and have had positive experience with is Alisons Montessori, Adena Montessori, and Kid Advance.

Sandpaper letters & numbers

Unless you have a machine that can cut these out perfectly like Silhouette Cameo (be advised its not recommend) the fine sandpaper can dull your blade.

Golden beads

This is a precise materials and how be purchased not DIY we want each individual piece to be identical this material gets the child working from concrete to abstract learning.

Red & blue moveable alphabet

Unless you own a machine that could cut these letters out perfectly. The moveable alphabet is praise and have a control of error that makes it unique.

Metal insets

This material prepared the child for writing and helps the child perfect the pencil grip which is necessary for writing. Alternatives ive seen some families use is this set from learning resources NOT the same but they are used similarly.

Decanomial Box

The Decanomial Bead Bars are a versatile material! Your child will use these to explore a range of math concepts from whole number operations, properties of addition and multiplication, arithmetic relationships such as multiples and squaring, concepts of equality, to polynomial expansions.

Puzzle maps

Maps are used in every type of classroom to help students memorize continents and countries, but memorization is only one benefit. Montessori students use these maps to gain a deeper, more rich understanding of how countries fit together and their relative sizes. DO NOT PURCHASE MINI SET!
